Fairly uneventful. Pain during the day today so Tramadol came on board early. So be it 🤷♀️ It’s an interesting thing, pain. It makes me snappy. Makes me emotional. Makes me messy. Makes me apologetic. Pain. I actually think I can take it. I’ve been advised not to. I took the advise, don’t worry. ThereContinue reading “Day 18”
Last night was pretty great. Took Tramadol at 10 and slept til 3am. Took another dose and slept til 7. Sleep makes ALL the difference. Repeat tonight. ❤️ – labs all look good still.
So tired. No sleep last night. 2 nights in a row people :/. I tried almost every bed in the house. Sleep app, white noise, etc. shooting pains I think from nerves is too great and sporadic to relax. Back in the bath at 2am. I think I could sleep in the bath, but IContinue reading “Day 16- Tramadol in the house.”
Did 6mins in the machine then saw the docs. Usually it’s Dr E, the radiology oncologist, and her 2 male side-kick docs. One is a med student, very quiet but as sweet as he can be, he once slipped my shoes back on my feet after an appt. Today however Dr E came in withContinue reading “Day 15- part 2 the warrior cracks”
No sleep 😞 uncomfortable. Back in the tub at 3am this morning to try and help my skin relax. Slept a few hours afterwards. Off to get covid vaccine #2, 6mins with the rad machine, and doctors meeting. Maybe more later ….
Chilled out. Sat a lot. Ate comfort food. Had some visitors. Relaxed. Sundays are good days in our book.
Ran errands early with one of the teenagers then cleaned the house and did laundry. Mild discomfort didn’t stand a chance up next to good energy and motivation ❤️ Ended the evening with shepherds pie and a movie, The Upside! 👍🏻👍🏻
In the gowned waiting room today sat 1 woman. Maybe 20 years older than myself. I entered and sat down and she immediately gasped and said ‘You got to keep your hair! It’s so beautiful.’ I responded quickly with ‘I’ve only done one round of chemo, maybe it still will fall out 🤷♀️’. Hoping toContinue reading “Day 12 – the end of week 2”
My apology for skipping day 10 but I ran out of time and one of the teenagers invited me to their room while they did homework. It’s my policy to always accept the invitations of my teenagers! (Speaking of the teenagers- they are doing well 😍) Doing fine here. Yesterday the techs said Dr EContinue reading “Day 11 when am I cancer free?”
Easy day. 6 mins in the machine, in and out. I leave the rad waiting area, get changed, and head to the gowned waiting area (women’s side). I hear voices in there. This is new. I rarely see people and if I do they are in and out quickly. So I was intrigued and overContinue reading “Day 9 ‘what kind did you get?’”
